"Wonderful location, immaculately prepared food, a warm and gracious welcome - perfect!"

I took my Mom and Dad back to our favorite restaurant tonight. We have been to T*ony's, M*arks, La R*eserve and the rest, but none can compare to the great food and excellent service at House in the Heights. Patrick the owner bakes wonderful fresh herb bread, has wonderful Salads, and always a great variety of entrees that are elegantly presented. The restaurant itsself is an old house that Patrick continues to dress up with antiques and nick nacks that make it seem like a cozy dinner at an upscale home.

This place won't be a secret for long! It more than met my expectations, and those of my guests. Yes, we were there for several hours but didn't realize it because we were enjoying ourselves so much visiting with our friends. It was like spending the evening at a friend's home that can really cook. Bring enough wine to get you through the night. Four of us enjoyed three bottles of wine and could have easily had one more. They charge $6 corkage for your wine but it was worth it. The $40 bottles of wine we brought would have cost us $100+ each at any nice restaurant. $6 was a bargain! I can't wait to go back. Patrick, you have a winner

My wife and I found this place several years ago and it has become our favorite place to dine. The food is always excellent and you are never rushed. If you are in a hurry, make other plans. If you are a bon vivant and truly appreciate a fine meal, this is your place. We love to bring wine from our collection and share it with friends without having to suffer the typical "3 times" mark-up at most restaurants. A $6.00 corkage is very reasonable... I have paid as high as $25.00. I noted only one negative reviewer who did not appreciate the "nicer handblown" glasses or the unhurried pace and all I can say is, they should stick to L*uby's. We have referred many friends to Patricks' House in the Heights and have never received anything but glowing reports.

The Weavers

What a wonderful secret! This place is perfect for long, slow enjoyable dinners with friends; its not too quiet, so plan to have a good time with those raucous buddies you bring. We packed up our in the car and spent the evening enjoying fresh! baked bread, wonderful appetizers and a choice of entrees. We were never rushed, and never looking for a hostess. Wonderful fresh American Cuisine!

One of the best kept secrets in Houston... Wow... if you haven't been there, then you should go now! If you want to dine at a place that is elegant, yet relaxed , unpretentious and just feels like home. Where the food is sumptuous and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, then do yourself a favor.... you will not be disappointed!!!! I just LOVE this place!!!

A fabulous atmosphere in a near-100 year old Victorian house. Decorated with passion and Patrick cooks with even more passion than he docorates with. All herbs are grown in the garden there. Expect to be there a long time... everything is prepared on the spot. It's supposed to be a relaxed evening and no rush. He asks in advance all your likes and dislikes and the menu presented is then perfect. How he juggles all guests' preferences to put together the delicious evening menu is amazing. We just wanted to thank you soooo much for such a wonderful evening on Saturday. Jeff & I truly were in food heaven with every succulent bite of each of the four dishes you served us. When I first bit into your bread, the first thing that came across my mind was, "Are you kidding me?" Each of the herbs exploded into my mouth and I nearly choked because I tried to inhale each bite. Thank you again for such a great experience and we would also like to send much appreciation to your assistant as well.
Best,
Iris.

P. S. We were still in such an orgasmic food state when we left that we forgot to get an order to go. Can you tell me how we can order some bread to go?
